Frequently Asked Questions:
What are we planning on building?
TCCs first step is to secure a piece of property that is at least
25 acres. This is where we will begin developing our campus.
Why are we already planning on building?
TCCs explosive growth in our early days means we need to plan ahead
for continued future growth. Unfortunately, the Hays County area
is limited in the buildings available for lease. At present, we
have been given less than two years to occupy our current meeting
space. In fact, our current meeting space already presents several
limitations for us in continuing to fulfill our mission.
Where will our campus be located?
We are praying for God to direct us to the specific land that will
enable us to have the largest impact possible. We purpose to purchase
land in or around Kyle, which is continuing to grow exponentially.
When will we start construction?
We will begin construction as soon as our church family is able
to fund the project through capital campaign funds and lending.
When will the project be completed?
God has positioned TCC to reach our community for Christ. We are
expecting several projects in the years to come. With God's help,
this initial phase, with a multi-purpose building, will be completed
within the next two years.
How will the project be funded?
Our projects will be funded primarily from our church family. Our
Something So BIG! campaign will generate funds beyond our operating
budget. Commitments will be made, and contributions given weekly,
monthly, or annually over a 3 year period of time.
How will the commitments be made?
Commitment cards will be collected on Sunday, November 4. This will
be a big celebration of all God is doing in and through our journey
together. Each person, either individually or as a family, will
be asked to make a prayerful decision about their financial participation
in the vision. This is a spiritual decision where each person will
pray and give as God leads them. Some gifts may be non-monetary
gifts-in-kind, such as land or other appreciated assets.
Will commitments be made public?
No.
Can commitments be changed?
Yes. Commitments may increase or decrease as circumstances change
or as God leads.
Is there a minimum I can commit?
No gift is too large or too small.
Are one time gifts accepted?
Yes. Many gifts given as appreciated assets are one time gifts.
A single cash gift is acceptable as well.
Can I donate online?
Yes. One time or recurring gifts can be made online HERE. Our system uses the highest 128bit security available.
Will gifts to the Something So BIG! campaign be tax deductible?
Yes. TCC will maintain detailed records and provide appropriate
statements for tax purposes that meet guidelines set by the Internal
Revenue Service.
Will new members have the opportunity to support the Something So
BIG! campaign?
Yes. As new people are added to our congregation, they will catch
the excitement of what God is doing and will be given the chance
to contribute financially as well.
