We’re headed to SCHLITTERBAHN Water Park and we want YOU & YOUR FRIENDS to join us!  On Thursday, July 29th, we’re headed for a day of fun in the surf and fun of Schlitterbahn.  You can check out the details below!

• Students must have a permission form to attend this trip.  Forms can be picked up on Wednesday night at SHOCKWAVE or on Sunday mornings at the Students Table in the TCC lobby.

• Cost for the trip is $35.  Cost includes admission to park.  Students need to bring their own lunch & snacks or money to buy food at the park.

• We will be taking a cooler to keep stuff cold.  Students are also allowed to bring small personal coolers.

• We will LEAVE the TCC parking lot at 8:50 AM on Thursday and return between 6 and 6:30 PM.

Hey Everybody,

In case you don’t know by now, we started meeting in our new building this past Sunday at The Connection Church!  That means that we have a NEW HOME for our Connexion Students ministry as well!  Starting this Wednesday night, July 7th, SHOCKWAVE will meet at the new building in the Youth Room.  We’ve got a new location, but the time stays the same (6:30 to 8 PM).  So join us for a night of fun, friends, and faith…and bring a friend!  See you then!

Beach Bash Frequently Asked Questions
Where is it? Beach Bash Camp is in Port Aransas, TX.  We will be staying at The Pelican Condos and other adjoining condo facilities which are literally right on the beach in Port Aransas.

What will we do? Beach Bash is a blast!  We spend our time hanging on the beach, swimming in the pool, boogie boarding in the surf, crashing against waves out in the water, hanging out with friends, and playing some crazy, fun games.  We start each morning and end each day with an incredible time of worship led by a rockin’ band and hear God’s word taught in a funny, relevant way that applies to real life.

Can I bring my friends? YES!!!  Bring as many friends as you’d like.  Just be sure they get the registration packet and get all their paperwork and payments in on time.

What does the cost of camp include? The cost of camp includes everything in your Beach Bash experience.  Your lodging, all recreation and beach activities, all meals, and your camp booklet & shirt are all included in your cost.  You only need extra spending money for a meal as we travel to and from camp and for any snacks you buy or shopping you might do while at camp.

Who all is going to Beach Bash? All students who will be completing 6th through 12th grade this school year are eligible to attend Beach Bash Camp. Here at The Connection Church, both our Middle School & High School students attend this camp together.  There will also be several other churches attending Beach Bash from around the state of Texas.

What if I can’t afford the $220? If money becomes a problem or is an issue that is going to keep you from going to camp, please contact Bryan or Nic (see info below) as soon as possible.  We have opportunities for  scholarships for those with financial needs and we are willing to work with you and your friends to make sure that you can be a part of Beach Bash.  Please do not let money be an issue that keeps you from going to Beach Bash!

When are my forms and payments due? Your registration forms and a $50 non-refundable deposit are due by April 18th.  If you want to sign up after that, it will be on a first come, first serve basis as space allows.  Also, anyone signing up after May 18th will have to pay the late registration cost which is $250 per person instead of $220.  Your total payment for camp is due by Wednesday, May 26th.

Join us during the month of February at our weekly meetings for Middle School & High School students as we talk about love, sex, dating, & relationships.  Let’s be honest:  Everywhere you turn in our society, we’re getting some kind of message about sex.  Whether it’s on the internet, tv & movies, advertising billboards, or the school lockerroom.  Our culture is consumed with sex.  God also talks about sex, love, & relationships in the Bible…And you might just be surprised by what He says.  So come check it out this month at SURGE or Connexion Students High School…and BRING A FRIEND!

Hey Everybody,

There has been a last minute location change for SHOCKWAVE for this Wednesday Night, January 6th!  We WILL be having SHOCKWAVE still, but we will NOT be meeting at The Castillo’s.  Instead, SHOCKWAVE will meet at the La Quinta Inn & Suites Banquet Room in Kyle, TX.  SHOCKWAVE will still be a night full of Fun, Friends, & Faith, so bring your friends and come have a blast together!  We’ll start at 6:30 and be done by 8 PM. 

The La Quinta Inn & Suites is right off Interstate 35 across from Home Depot.  The address to the La Quinta is 18869 IH-35 North in Kyle.

As we wrap up this semester with our SURGE Middle School & Connexion High School student ministries, we’re planning on finishing up in style!  We’ll be having our annual Christmas party for both groups as the semester comes to a close.

SURGE Middle School Christmas Party

• Sunday, Dec. 20th @ Rico & Maria Ojeda’s House - 200 Britni Loop (Steeplechase Subdivision)
• We’re having a White Elephant Gift Exchange, the BIGGEST SNOW BALL FIGHT in Texas, and lots of good food to snack on.
• What To Bring?  If you want to participate in the White Elephant Gift Exchange you need to bring a wrapped Christmas gift that costs NO MORE than $5.  That’s the limit!  Stick to it!  You can also bring your favorite Christmas snack or goodies!

Connexion Students High School Christmas Party

• Wednesday, Dec. 16th - 6:30 to 8 PM - The Castillo’s House (146 Regent Cove in Kensington Trails subdivision)
• We’ll be playing some crazy Christmas games, eating some Christmas goodies, and having a White Elephant Gift Exchange…It’s gonna’ be Christmas to a Whole ‘Nutha Level!
• What To Bring?  If you plan to participate in the gift exchange, bring a wrapped gift that costs NO MORE THAN $5.  That’s the limit.  Be creative!  You can also bring you’re favorite holiday snack or goodies to share with everyone!

ELEVATE Weekend is here again!  Come join us on Dec. 11th-13th for ELEVATE - The Winter Retreat for Connexion Students.  It’s guaranteed to be a jam-packed weekend full of fun, friends, and faith.  Whether you’re playing capture the flag, making s’mores around the campfire, or just hanging out with your friends, we know you’ll have a BLAST @ Elevate Weekend.

Who:  Any & All 6th - 12th Grade Students

Where:  Twin Oaks Ranch in Buda, TX

When:  Dec. 11th-13th (Friday evening through Sunday morning)

What:  A weekend retreat that offers students a chance to get away from the regular, everyday routine and have a blast with their friends.

How Much:  The cost for the weekend is $70.  That includes two nights lodging, all meals, all retreat activities and supplies, and an Elevate T-Shirt!  (If the cost is prohibitive, please contact Nic Burleson, Family Pastor at TCC, on ways to obtain a scholarship for your student.)

How Do I Sign Up:  There are FOUR WAYS that you can sign up for Elevate Weekend!

1. You can sign up at any Connexion Students event.
2. You can sign up at the Connexion Students table before or after our celebration services at the PAC on Sunday mornings
3. You can sign up on this website by clicking here.  (If you sign up via this website, you will need to submit a payment online or stop by the office to drop off your payment.  Also, be sure to include in the “message” section of the form that you are signing up for Elevate weekend, including the student’s name and t-shirt size.)
