What is Baby Dedication?

We practice Baby Dedication instead of infant Baptism.

Baby Dedication is a ceremony in which believing parents along with the entire church family make a commitment before the Lord to raise their children according to God’s Word and God’s ways.

Christian parents who dedicate a child are making a promise to the Lord to do everything within their power to raise the child in a godly way, prayerfully until he or she can make a decision on his or her own to follow God. Parents who make this vow of commitment are instructed to raise the child in the ways of God, and not according to their own ways. Some of the responsibilities include teaching and training the child in God’s Word, demonstrating an example of godliness, disciplining according to God’s ways, and praying earnestly for the child.

An Example of Baby Dedication in Scripture

    And she (Hannah) made a vow, saying, “O LORD Almighty, if you will only look upon your servant’s misery and remember me, and not forget your servant but give her a son, then I will give him to the LORD for all the days of his life, and no razor will ever be used on his head.” 1 Samuel 1:11 (NIV)

When God answered Hannah’s prayer by giving her a son, she remembered her vow:

    “As surely as you live, my lord, I am the woman who stood here beside you praying to the LORD. I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him. So now I give him to the LORD. For his whole life he will be given over to the LORD.” And he worshiped the LORD there. 1 Samuel 1:26-28 (NIV)

Konnection Kids

Kids are very important to us at THE CONNECTION CHURCH. That’s because kids are important to God. Our desire is to provide a fun and safe environment for kids of all ages to grow in God’s love. Every kid should have the chance to be a part of a dynamic children’s ministry. KonnectionKidz is a chance for kids to make good friends with others their age and build a strong foundation for a successful future. Parents receive needed support in this adventure of bringing up great kids. Join us this Sunday morning where your kids will have a program just for them. They’ll be sure to want to come back again and again.

Kindergarten to 5th grade

Konnection Kidz provides kids with their own place to connect with other kids, caring adults, and most importantly, God. All kids should feel needed, valued and loved. That’s why we give them their own high-energy church experience that they can understand. You’ll see a positive difference in your kids as they learn how God wants them to live.

When your kids arrive they’ll enjoy an interactive play time with options such as a bounce house, family friendly video games, and sports activities.

Then, they will experience a combination of multimedia, kickin’ music, fun teaching, and age appropriate small group discussion to help your kids encounter God.

Kids earn “Konnection Kash” which they can spend on cool prizes once a month at the Konnection Kidz Store.

Connection Groups

God doesn’t intend for us to live our lives on our own. We are BETTER TOGETHER. Connecting to a small group of people is a vital ingredient for experiencing real community.

Connection Groups happen every night of the week. You can choose the night that’s most convenient for you! Connection Groups are made up of 8-12 people who get together in homes around our community to grow, learn, have fun, meet new people, and build healthy relationships.
