Dr. Cole Phillips

Pam Phillips

Founding & Lead Pastor
Founding & Women's Pastor
Cole Phillips started and has the privilege of leading The Connection Church in Hays County, Texas. Before that, he served in churches as a student pastor and as a lead pastor before moving to Kyle in the Spring of 2004. He loves presenting timeless truths in compelling and fresh ways. He believes church can be fun and it’s a sin to bore people with the most exciting message on the planet. He also loves to clearly talk about how to apply God’s truth to our everyday lives. His deepest desire is to help people connect with God and connect with others in a community of faith.

Cole earned a doctorate in missions and evangelism with an emphasis on church growth from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. When he has the opportunity, he enjoys developing church leaders to start healthy, thriving churches.

On the side, he loves music, both listening to it and creating it. He also regularly works out and runs to stay physically healthy.

Cole married his beautiful high school sweetheart Pam in 1991, and they have two daughters, Makenzie and Bethanie. Their desire is to plant their lives in the Hays County area and allow God to use them to build a great church!
Pam Phillips moved to Kyle in the Spring of 2004 with her husband, Cole Phillips, and began the most fulfilling journey of her life--starting The Connection Church. Along with discipling and leading Connectors throughout the week, she also leads Girltime at The Connection Church and hosts the Girltime Conference every year. When the world shut down in 2020, Pam stepped up to the plate and launched Connection Christian Academy, a hybrid-homeschool program who's goal is to educate kids while teaching them leadership skills and, most importantly, about Jesus.

Pam earned her degree in Education from Dallas Baptist University.

On the side, she is the ultimate DIYer. Always accomplishing a new project, she is able to turn nothing into something beautiful.
