What are your passions, the things that God has placed deep in your heart that make it beat just a little harder? I often find that I enjoy being around people who get excited about the things that I also get excited about. When this happens, it forms a special bond that can’t be found anywhere else. My hope for you is that the thing you are most passionate about is the thing that God is most passionate about as well—his Kingdom.

Jesus once said, “Seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness and all those things will be added unto you.” Now, Jesus isn’t talking about finding a date here. In fact, he’s actually talking about the happiness that fills your heart when you align it with his.

But, when you are looking around, trying to find a date, the best place to start is in places and spaces that God cares about. When we align our hearts with his, we experience a transforming power that can only be explained as pure freedom. And when two free people come together, they can truly change the world.

Declaration: Say this next statement out loud as a declaration of what you have learned today.

I am passionate about what God is passionate about. I will look for someone who loves what God loves and wants what God wants.

Pray:

God, as I look for someone to spend my life with, help me to be aligning my life with what you want for me. Reveal to me the places and spaces where I can find people that are pursuing you. Thank you for the person that you have planned for me to build your kingdom with. I trust your timing in meeting them. Amen.
