Holy Spirit Part 1
This week's objective is to experience a new sense of security in your relationship with God based on the presence of his Spirit in your life.We are going to focus on seeing with eyes of faith how the Holy Spirit is at work in your life.
One fact to note: in the Old Testament the Holy Spirit came upon people at various times for specific purposes. He never indwelt anyone permanently.
Throughout the Old Testament, we read of the promise of a "new thing" God is preparing to do. Part of the "new thing" was not a creation of the Holy Spirit (who is eternal and present at creation), but for the Holy Spirit to live within believers giving them power. The demarcation of this "new thing" began with Jesus' life on earth!
